This charming plate is decorating a special place in my home.  I have resisted selling it because it is one of my favorite objects.  It has been decorated with several layers of colored slips.  These layers are removed revealing the underlying colors.  A layer of glossy glaze is then applied, which makes it easier to clean if used for food.
